Form experience not sure yet, will be able to tell you when I get mine up and running. From the C450/C43 forums I have been reading these are very reliable cars when maintained, the engine is a well engineered unit. How it compares to a C300, cannot really tell you as I have never had or driven a C300. If someone reading this has had both of these models, please leave and help us out.

Sounds like the display maybe busted, but this doesn't cost anything and it's quick to do so definitely worth a try.

@@4WheelBuilds I didn't. It was as if the internal screw had come to the complete end of it's thread and locked. After much swearing and effort, I had to exchange the caliper ☹️ Lesson learned, I'll be changing the pads 3/4 through their life from now on.

Oh dang, good tip in that case. I'll look into it as to how the caliper could be saved in such a situation. As you say it lot of anger and swearing could be saved on such an occasion. 😀

Forgot to say, I changed the discs too whilst at it. You do not need to remove the carrier. Very easy job.

The other day my instrument cluster apart from abs light and also radio stopped working, any ideas

might be worth while to check for error codes using an OBD II scanner

Yes, you can do this while the car is running, if the instrument cluster does not respond try switching the car off and with the fuses removed

Yeah, just put all fuses back and trying to start the car, not doing anything special.

I reinstalled the fuses within 5min after removal.

Dziekuje i nawzajem, zycze wielkich sukcesow w 2024! Co do sprzetu bardzo fajnie sie sprawdza, w domu i warsztacie. Dzieciaki w domu zrobily konkretny test, jezdzac po salonie pol dnia, nie zdolaly popsuac takze solidny sprzet. Teraz w warsztacie take sie sprawdza wysmienicie nie mam zastrzezen. Jak macie potrzebe przetestowania innych sprzetow to sie polecam na przyszlosc :)
